Radiologists rely heavily on the expertise of radiology technologists to obtain diagnostic images patients across various
imaging modalities including x-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MR. Moreover, it is imperative for the safety and well-being of
patients that radiology technologists be familiar with the imaging appearance of life-threatening and emergent
diagnoses across commonly utilized imaging modalities. Familiarizing themselves with the appropriate use of imaging
and various indications for imaging in the acute setting is crucial for optimal patient care.
