The mission of the Innovation Workgroup is to promote diversity in our researchers and subject populations with the goal of eliminating health disparities and improving the care of all patients.

MGH Radiology has been able to secure over $1.5 million in funding for diversity, equity, and inclusion-focused research along with research that focuses on healthcare disparities. The workgroup has been able to successfully apply for a T32 training grant focused on training underrepresented minority groups, such as the Latino, African American, and Asian communities, to pursue neuroimaging research. DEI members have also conducted and published on multiple diversity and health disparity projects.
